Easy to install and sounds great

Installed two other exhaust systems this year both had drone even though the shop said they would not? Removed old system and Installed the nismo exhaust system in my driveway with hand tools. Very easy install. Thanks Z1 offroad.

More expensive than most other options, but you can see the difference in quality as soon as you open the box. It is TIG welded by hand of 304 stainless steel. The hangers are welded on. There are built-in band-type clamps so the pipes won't deform. Everything lines up and fits correctly without extra work. Gaskets and replacement flange bolts are included, so you could install it as supplied without buying anything else. (Though I chose to upgrade the gaskets out of personal preference.) Sound quality is a bit throatier without being obnoxious. The bottom line is this: I'm not the sort to spend this kind of money on something unless I have to. But when my eleven year old stock exhaust was leaking and needed replaced, the extra investment in a system of this quality was worth it to me.

I came across Z1 off-road online looking for a Nismo exhaust system for my Frontier. The quality of this product in my opinion is to notch. I could have easily went down to my local pipe and muffler shop and had them fabricate a system for me for less. It sounds good and was a direct replacement for the factory system. This company processing time to delivery at my front door is superb compared to other online stores. Will continue to do business with.

Been looking for at least 2 years for a catback system for my Frontier and not liking anything I've previously researched. Found out about this NISMO exhaust towards the end of December... liked what I saw and heard so decided to go for it. For installing the NISMO exhaust you can have the front two hanger brackets installed on truck, but the rear one with 3 bolts really needs to be slid onto the tail section so you can slip the tail section onto the muffler section then bolt the hanger bracket to the truck. Install the 4 sections working from Y-pipe back to tailpipe... make sure the tube clamps are loosened so they can be best positioned for tool orientation to get on them and tighten them in same as install order (front to back) after the exhaust is loosely all in place. Also don't over-tighten the tube clamps, stop when the clamp bolt ends are flat/parallel with each other - you will start bending the bolts if you keep on tightening down...ask me how I know... LOL The Y-section flanges seemed to be less drawn in on the middle of gaskets compared to where the bolts are and I was worried of exhaust leak from the middle area, but doesn't seem to be any. On cold start-up it has a nice growl to it. Let it warm up a little and it mellows out a bit, but still more noticeable lower tone than stock. I will say this, there is no loss of power at all with this exhaust... truck pulls strong almost like it was back on the previous stock tire size setup (currently running 1" taller than stock 265/75-16 Cooper AT3 4S tires on lightweight wheels, only about 4lbs heavier than stock wheels with 265/70-16 Kumho Crugen HT51 tires). I'm also running stock airbox setup with K&N drop in filter and the XTP intake manifold spacer. Pulls fine all the way to redline, though seems strongest in the lower RPMs. I do notice between 2200-2800ish RPM is where it has the most resonance on my truck, if cruising in 5th just in that RPM section its kind of noticeable, but shift to 6th and gets really quiet @ below 2k rpm. I do like the sound, that slight resonance is no big deal to me. But yes, very happy with this NISMO exhaust over the stock one that was getting old and getting close to needing replacement. I don't think you can beat it for the price - it's a fully TIG welded 304 stainless system that fits perfectly just like stock and sounds great and never annoying/raspy - a bit deeper/throatier sounding than stock but not really that much louder from a driver's perspective. If you want nice smooth tone and not annoyingly loud along with a 100% bolt on kit this is a great exhaust.
