Product Description
The Standard Z1 Stainless Steel Y-Pipe is for enthusiasts looking to increase horsepower and torque across the entire powerband while improving a more raw exhaust note. Features a 3-piece design with swaged slip joints, making installation a breeze! 2mm wall thickeness ensures maximum durability while thick laser cut flanges are utilized to ensure a proper seal with high resistance to warpage overtime.
Mandrel bent primary pipes provide smooth transitions to the fabricated 3'' merge collector. The merge collector increases exhaust gas velocity and improves the scavenging effect. Exhaust scavenging makes an exhaust system more efficient, by improving the scavenging effect of the exhaust you allow for greater exhaust flow resulting in MORE POWER! In addition, an auxiliary exhaust bung is installed in the collector at the rear to allow for easy wideband installation or additional monitoring of exhaust gas temperature.

Not a fan of the multi piece y pipe. Keeps leaking at the clamps. Leaked at the flange too with new gaskets. My isr y pipe I haven’t had to touch since I installed it 4-5 years ago. Here I am messing with this one all the time and it still leaks. Single piece ftw.

I had a ISR y pipe but when installing berk resonated test pipes the y pipe no longer fit, after talking to a rep about Z1’s y pipe I went ahead and made the order, no regret whatsoever. It sounds great with my berk tp, and tomei catback

Very easy install after getting the old, rusted nuts/bolts off. The Y-Pipe was a perfect fit, the instructions were very clear. Customer service prior to purchasing the Y-Pipe was fantastic. I cannot speak to power as the car has not been dyno'd, however the sound difference is great. Deeper more throaty sound w/o drone. Very happy with this purchase!

This is a great product. Robust, and well made. It went on easy with jack stands under the car. The biggest issue was getting OEM nuts off of the cat and mid-pipe. I noticed a raspy sound that went away, then BOOM! Lot's of noise. Only later did I realize the bung screw toward the end, I ignored and never tightened. I got up the next morning and found it at the stop light near my house! PHEW! Note to future buyers, tighten that sucker down. I noticed a big increase in power and smoothness of engine operation. I have a Nismo headers, stock cats, and stock exhaust. I've had a bunch of exhausts on the car and prefer the stock mufflers sound and lack of noise. This Y-pipe is exactly what I wanted. The only other reason for me to replace the OEM exhaust would be the fact that it is ridiculously heavy. The OEM Y-pipe is pure garbage and I highly recommend this upgrade. The fact that there aren't any flex pipes to tear up is also an added plus. I wonder though if I had ponied up for the resonated Y-pipe if I would be an even happier camper? Either way, buy this Y-pipe it fits the bill, just tighten down the bung deal at the rear and you are good to go. No professional installation required either.

Replaced my stock Infiniti Y-pipe on my G37 sedan with this Z1 y-pipe and I definitely notice a different ! More airflow for sure and increased the volume !!! 100% Deeper sound with my set up. I will say I have stock cats and headers too from up top. Also to the people complaining about it not lining up? It lines up perfectly lol and was easy for the muffler shop people to install… pretty straight forward installation if you know what your doing and not micky mouse way. Make sure bolt ( o2 sensor in y-pipe ) is tighten really well, or you will get rattle. RWD sedans get this y pipe ! 100% recommended. It might work for awd but I think the transfer case is in way , which is supposedly why they shouldn’t go on awd but ( I don’t know ). Anyways I recommend this

This is a great upgrade over the factory Y pipe. There aren't any flex pipes to blow out and it can be tucked up higher than the factory Y pipe hung. Great for lowered cars like mine. The pipe diameter is a lot larger than factory as well.

Great product, just need to make some changes to how it clamps together. I’m going to have to weld it together and to keep it sealed as it keeps leaking where the pipes connect to the Y collector.

Like all after market parts it wasn't a direct fit but pretty close. I used a second jack to hold it up and had to put and pull a Philips screw driver through one side to make it fit. Then it started making a crackling sound while driving but that only lasted about a week. I figure it had to adjust and settle in. I've had this Y pipe on for a while now and I am very happy with it. Sounds beefy and no more crackling. FYI I also bought and installed the Z1 high flow cats to this Y pipe and I love the combo! I had test pipes before and the car would not pass smog but it passed legally after I installed the hi flow cats. Thanks Z1.

I think this is a great product and has great fitment. The only downfall I have noticed is that the clamps that hold on the Y to the other 2 pipes like to leak. So I am going to have to get that welded together to get rid of the leak.

The install for this was great and the Y pipe looks great. Only issue is it the sleeve where you connect it isn’t super tight so it’s kinda loose and when driving you can hear it. You will have to put more work or money into this y pipe to get it from moving inside the sleeve

Ok my honest review of this, bolting it up is super easy since it’s 2 seperate parts but that being said when installed with my isr long tubes these have a big air leak/ exhaust leak where where the slip joints would meet the other 2 pipes that are bolted onto the headers. I used a lot of gasket rtv to seal but i still think i have an exhaust leak overtime.

for reference I own a 2011 370Z Nismo. The product is well made, good quality, the flanges are very thick, overkill in my opinion. Make sure to put antiseize and tighten up the wideband bung otherwise it will fall out. Also I still have my stock cats, the hardware provided is not compatible with the oem hardware on the stock cats so either be very careful when removing the old hardware so that you are able to reuse it, in my case I wasnt so I had to hammer out the old studs and completely wreck the heat shields on my stock cats to be able to use the provided nuts and bolts. Overall I wish the nuts provided fit the studs on the oem cats, but it is a good piece, I couldnt feel any leaks and dont have any rattles yet. I paired this with the Tomei exhaust and it does sound amazing. If the install would have been simpler I'd give it 5 stars, but due to the hardware not being compatible with stock cats I have to give it 4.

I'm leaving this review only because I'm going to have to spend more money to make it function properly. Overall, I like the sound and design of this y pipe other than the slip joints. They are prone to leaking and causing a terrible rattle sound when decelerating. If you do any engine braking, this is a huge annoyance. No, it doesn't really affect the overall sound or performance, but it's super annoying if you want to have a clean exhaust note. I'm going to have to weld it, like everyone else in the reviews, in order for it to sound clean.

This is a nicely made ypipe. But on the downside once I tuned my 370z it started to leak. If you have solid mounts it will work great. But after the tune with stock mounts it really need flex pipes in it. Quality is 2nd to none but depending on your build it’s not for everyone.

Only downside is the welds could have been cleaned up inside the pipe a little. Not a big deal. Other than that construction is 10/10 nice welds and feels high quality. G37 started with a muffler delete and installing this y pipe got rid of my low end rasp and drone. Would recommend to anyone.

I’ve honestly have had multiple problems with mine so far in the first week. (2014 370z)
I’ve had multiple exhaust leaks that were fixed with minor tweaking. Main problem is there’s a plug for an optional sensor (AFR) in my case I didn’t tighten it down any more from the factory which I should have because it fell out while driving after a week, so I had to spend $12 on another one through Z1. I honestly would’ve have went with The Stillen y pipe instead if I knew this one had to be assembled and the issue with the AFR plug. It’s not a bad y pipe at all! But it’s also not great....

Fitment is perfect, Cut out bung is made well, Welds look good, clamps work perfectly, hardware was provided for new bolts. Has not really changed the tone of the car, however it does feel slightly like there is a bit more power especially in the lower part of 5,000 and below RPM in terms of torque and responsiveness. My old Y pipe was rusted out and the flex section did not look good, this was a perfect replacement. Thanks Z1
