Product Description
The Z1 Motorsports Aluminum Undershroud for the Infiniti G37 was developed to replace your stock plastic or missing undershroud with a rigid aluminum panel, increasing front fascia rigidity, improving air flow, and making oil changes easier!
The stock undershroud on your G37 was designed primarily to protect sensitive under body components from weather and small road media, unfortunately these plastic panels are not very strong and are susceptible to damage. The Z1 aluminum undershroud provides far more protection than stock by providing more rigidity and durability than soft plastic undershrouds. The boxed and skirted mid-panel further improves fascia rigidity.
Removable Service Panel
In order to service your car the undershroud must be removed. If you don't you'll likely find yourself reaching through a small rectangular hole hoping not to cover yourself and your undershroud in a thick film of oil after removing the oil filter and drain plug. This is no easy task. The Z1 Undershroud has a removable service panel, considerably larger than other similar undershrouds providing you with easy access and plenty of room to spare!
The removable service panel features large vented louvers, helping improve air flow on both sides of the panel and evacuating lousy heat.

Works great. Only complain is that it doesn't mount to factory holes in the fame, which causes you to jump up a class in Nissan Challenge. But it wouldn't be fair for me to drop a star for that haha.

Undershroud was bent at a corner mounting point, probably because the item wasn’t shipped with any kind of packing material inside the box. If shipping is going to be $30, can we at least try to ensure the item will arrive undamaged?

What an improvement over the stock plastic shroud. Install was easy, the impact nuts were not hard to install, watch a YouTube video and there is a quick easy way to put them in. The fit was perfect. Quality of the product also great. I like having the access panel to change oil. The only difficult part of the install was two spacer bolts that are a little tight to get to, but nothing that cannot be done. Very happy with this purchase.

This is another wonderful piece of Z1 engineering. Well thought out, extremely well constructed, and as long as you follow the instructions you will absolutely love this undershroud. It looks truly fantastic, but like I said before.....DEFINATELY FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!! It also makes doing oil changes a snap, undo two fasteners and you have complete access to your oil pan drain plug & oil filter.

The quality of the product looks great. I mistakenly ordered a G37 instead of my 370z. I ordered back in November but due to back surgery recovery i was not able to install until just last week,March 2023. I then realized i bought the wrong one. I know this was my fault but would really like to be able to exchange it for the same item just in the 370z model. I would even drive to Z1 to show that the unit is in perfect condition. Any considerations would be greatly appreciated.

Great quality part, install was definitely a bit trickier than I would expect for it only being a skid plate but works great so far and looks good. The upper bolts for the middle panel would have been near impossible to install without a flex head ratcheting 10mm wrench.

Installed on my 08 G37S coupe. The black looks nice, and it is sturdier than I thought it would be. Had to learn how to use the rivnut tool, but easy once you know. My only complaint is around tightening the hidden rear bolts on the middle panel. With a beefy sway bar, the clearance is so tight that I could barely turn a wrench/socket. I ended up drilling two holes in the middle panel directly below the rear bolts so that I could slip a small nut driver through the hole to tighten the rear bolts.

Unfortunately it got destroyed the day after I installed it. There was a tire in the middle of the highway, it being dark didn’t see it until it was to late. The good thing is it definitely saved my car from a whole lot more damage that could have been done

The parts were manufactured precisely. The instructions were straight forward. The installed pieces really firmed up the support of front bumper area and makes it look so much better than the sagging oem plastic thing. Great product!!

Pros:
Great construction. Saved my butt after hitting a giant pothole. It looks great but you have to jack the car up or roll over to see it. Changing oil is much easier now.
Cons:
No instructions. Had to watch YouTube videos to figure out the rivet thingy. But after that the installation was easy enough.
In conclusion I would buy this again just for the extra protection is gives to the underside of the car. The lack of instructions is the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars. Great product!

Only reason I don't give 5 stars is where it slides in for the access panel it can vibrate and be annoying. I fixed it with some thick adhesive. Otherwise is great. Easy to bend back if you ride really low and bend it.

Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. First off, this is an expensive piece for whit it is. More expensive than existing undershrouds, but by far the best design out of them all. Instructions were usable for the average wrench turner to understand. One thing I would say is that they should either include a bit to drill the new holes, or use a smaller rivet. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

Installed this on my 2008 g37 coupe due to hot leaking power steering fluid onto the OEM plastic under tray deforming and allowing it to sag. This new aluminum under tray is sturdy and allows for easy oil changes by just removing one of the 3 piece panel to access the oil filter.
