By utilizing specially designed spacers, the Z1 Short Shifter maintains the correct selector rod geometry so as to not increase shift effort.

When installing a short shifter, Z1 recommends you inspect and replace the Shifter Ball Socket Cup and Lower Shifter Dust Boot. Both of these are regular-wear items that we commonly replace in-house when servicing a transmission or shifter.
