This Battery Cover Lid locks into the battery tray and surrounds the battery itself. Once this part is in place and the battery fix is secured on top, it helps protect and hide the battery and other associated electronics while allowing easy access to the battery. This cover, and accompanying parts, MUST be removed in order to remove the battery for replacement or service purposes.
