This Sprocket is attached to one end of the camshaft alongside the exhaust sprocket. Working with the timing belt and the crankshaft sprocket, the Intake Sprocket helps maintain the timing between the crankshaft and the camshaft. If it fails, your timing chain can fall out of place and your engine can stall out.
