Z1's Nissan Frontier Medium-Duty Leaf Springs are engineered to deliver the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and durability. THE DETAILS
The springs provide a 1.5-inch lift at stock load, enough to increase ground clearance and improve departure angles without compromising ride quality. With a progressive spring rate approximately 15% stiffer than OEM, they’re built to handle added weight from gear, bed racks, or towing while still delivering a smooth, controlled ride for daily driving. Safety and durability are built into the design with a partial wrap on the front and rear eyelet. On the rear eyelet, the secondary leaf wraps under the eyelet of the primary leaf. If the main leaf were ever to fail, the secondary leaf continues to bear the weight of the vehicle, offering critical redundancy and peace of mind in remote or rugged environments.
To ensure longevity and quiet operation, heavy-duty bonded bushings are pre-installed in the front eyelet. Unlike traditional aftermarket bushings, which can squeak and degrade over time, these bonded units offer a quieter, more maintenance-free experience. In the rear eyelet, no bushings are installed, giving you the freedom to install whatever bushings match your preferred shackle combination. For quiet and smooth operation, Z1 prefers OEM leaf spring bushings. Inside the spring pack, low-friction liners are placed between each leaf to minimize the internal rubbing that typically causes noise and harshness. This reduces friction at key contact points, resulting in a noticeably smoother and quieter ride—especially over uneven terrain.
