Overtime, heat and moisture wear away these actuators. When the actuator fails, they prevent you from using your Titan's keyless entry features. Should the latch assembly fail your door may not be able to lock or unlock reliably - taking away a major safety component for you and your truck. It is always recommended to replace your malfunctioning door lock actuator and latch with an OEM unit for the best reliability.
