Nissan Titan Coolant Level Sensor Bypass resolves an issue that has plagued diesel Titans since their introduction.
The Titan XD has a non-replaceable coolant level sensor in the coolant reservoir. This float loses buoyancy over time, causing the sensor to trigger a CEL and trigger an "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" warning, accompanied by a P00B7 error code. This puts the truck in limp mode, reducing engine output and making your truck virtually useless until the entire coolant tank (PN 21710-EZ40A) is replaced.
Rather than replacing this entire coolant tank, Z1 offers a quick fix by bypassing the sensor altogether, preventing a loss of engine power in the event the sensor fails. To use this, simply unplug your coolant sensor, plug this into the harness, and you're back on the road. *Note* As implied, this bypasses the coolant level sensor. It will be necessary to check coolant levels periodically while this is being used.
