This O-Ring helps create a tight seal around the temperature sensor to ensure this essential component of your engine management system is protected from air, dirt and debris in your vehicle equipped with the CEV8D1 engine. The sensor works on electrical resistance to measure the temperature, and is a sensitive electrial part, which can prove to be a headache when failing. Additionally, this O-Ring is used on the Fuel Strainer for the fuel & engine control system on VK56VD equipped models.

NOTE: The VK56VD (5.6L GAS) coolant temperature sensor utilizes a metal crush washer that is built onto the sensor. Therefore, you will need to replace your coolant temperature sensor.
