OEM 2013-2020 Infiniti QX60 and Nissan Pathfinder Belt Tensioner.
This tensioner provides the belt a smooth surface to spin across while providing the proper amount of tension. As the bearings in the pulley wear, you may begin to hear a high pitch squeaking or squealing. Over time this may result in complete bearing failure, causing the pulley to lock up and break the belt.
NOTE: Whenever idler or tensioner pulleys are replaced due to failure, it is important to carefully inspect the belt for excessive wear.
