Designed for aggressive off-road use, whether rock crawling or desert pre-running, the Xterra Pre-Runner Front Bumper combines a 50mm (2.0") DOM tube structure with 5mm (3/16") reinforced upright plate channels to deliver strength and impact resistance while keeping weight in check. The high-clearance design improves approach angle and delivers a clean, race-inspired profile, highlighted by a welded stinger integrated into the main tube structure. Lighting provisions are built into the main tube below the stinger, allowing for the installation of up to five auxiliary pod lights. A modular layout allows the bumper to be configured to match your vehicle setup, including compatibility with both non-body-lifted trucks and trucks running a 2-inch body lift, while also supporting integrated winch and auxiliary lighting options within each configuration.
BUILD YOUR BUMPER
Step One: Shield or Winch Carrier
- A lightweight aluminum shield covers the center bumper opening, protecting your radiator and sensitive bits from impact from rocks. This shield is constructed from 1/8" aluminum and is the standard option when building your bumper.
- An optional bolt-in winch carrier can be selected in the product options, replacing the aluminum shield and providing a secure mounting platform for a winch without requiring changes to the main bumper structure. This carrier fits winches up to 12,000 lbs with confirmed fitment for Warn Zeon (10S and 12S) and Badlands Apex 12K.
Step Two: Body Lift, or Non-Body Lift
- In the standard configuration, the tube winglets are parallel to the main tube structure. This configuration is designed for non-body-lifted trucks and provides the greatest lighting flexibility. Up to four 3-inch pod lights can be installed per side, for a total of eight forward-facing lights. This allows for a wide range of lighting setups using the Morimoto 4Banger, including wide fog patterns for street driving, combo patterns for mixed terrain, spot patterns for high-speed driving, and scene lights for recoveries or ditch illumination when navigating technical terrain.
- In the body-lifted configuration, the winglets curve upward from the main tube to meet the headlights and fenders when installed on vehicles with a 2-inch body lift. This design improves clearance and visual alignment on body-lifted trucks, while still allowing up to three 3-inch pod lights per side.
