Product Description
The Variable Induction Air System (VIAS) Actuator, aka the power valve, is installed in intake manifold collector and used to control the suction passage of the variable induction air control system. It is set in the fully closed or fully opened position by the power valve actuator operated by the vacuum stored in the surge tank. The vacuum in the surge tank is controlled by the VIAS control solenoid valve.
Whenever this actuator fails it can often cause the engine to "rattle" around 2000-3000RPM when the actuator activates.
Note: This VIAS Actuator is only for NON-Flex Fuel models!

The part is good, the removal and install sucks, not much info out there for the replacment but please be prepared for a stuck old part and u must put the new one in perfectly or it wont go back in. So far truck runs smoother with new part.

Fixed my rattle at 2200rpm (only audible when accelerating). Perfect fit, only wish it came with 4 bolts instead of 2 so the hardware on the positioner and the actuator can be replaced.

Easy install. Seems to have fixed the annoying 2200-3000 rpm rattle. I kind of gambled on this and can report that it appears to have solved, or at the very least helped, the issue. However you can purchase this part for cheaper elsewhere, even from the dealer. This site just happened to be the first I saw and seemed more convenient. For the price I’ll give it 4 stars. The product itself would be 5. It’s OEM, what more can I say?
