Nissan Motorsports is pleased to announce the NEW NISMO Off-Road Frontier Cat-Back Exhaust System. Constructed of high quality stainless steel, this exhaust system delivers a sporty and deep sounding exhaust tone compared to the OE system, without excessive cabin noise or droning.

This cat-back exhaust system is an easy upgrade for both the 2020-2021 3.8L V6 Frontier and 2022- up Frontier owners looking to add to the character of their vehicles, or as a high-performance OE alternative.

** Installation Instructions **

Features:

  • SUS304 Stainless Steel construction for high strength and corrosion resistance
  • Direct bolt-on application using OE hanger mount locations –No modifications required
  • 2.5” pipe diameter, and single 4.25” polished tip with laser-etched NISMO logo
  • 20% reduction in back pressure putting out 85 dB stationary, 80 dB passing, and 68 dB constant sound level results

I have 500 miles on this exhaust so far. Installed it on my 2023 PRO4X Frontier. It was a easy install and took me 1 hour in my garage. Remove the tail pipe first than the rest is easier.. This exhaust is much lighter than the OE and it has a very mild tone, but when you put foot into the pedal you can hear the nice tone, at cruise speed no drone and it is quiet. The exhaust tip/finisher is 4.25" and is double wall and rolled end. I feel the 3.8 runs better. NISMO says this exhaust is 20% less back pressure. I am very pleased with this exhaust and am glad I made the move to get one, Thanks NISMO..

Once it was installed (which was simple on a hoist) it took a few months for the various computers controlling the engine and transmission to figure out the capacity for air movement on the Nismo vs. the stock, but now the gas mileage and power gains have leveled out and give consistent results. Highly recommend upgrading the intake to cold-air at the same time, as I did mine later and it felt like the 'missing piece of the puzzle'.

Installation was super easy and took about 1 hour and 15 min. The biggest challenge was removing the OEM Nissan ehaust off since once unbolted, there was not much room to drop it down with car ramps. However, use a runner mallet to loosen the OEM tailpipe section once everythin is unbloted and then it clears to drop down without issue. The NISMO bolts right off and couldn''t be an easier installation. The sound is great with a deeper rumble at idle and a nice growl with acceleration. It's not loud but has am produceds a much more rewarding sound.

Noticable louder but at normal highway speed fades away. Sounds good. Took about 45 minutes to install in driveway with car ramp. Kit goes together good. Overall very satisfied with.

Had no issues with fitment on my 2020 Frontier. It sounded good but not different enough from stock for my taste so I cut out the muffler and welded in a Vibrant 12” resonator in its place. Sounds amazing and it felt quite a bit more responsive on the take off. (Butt dyno 🙄)

Installing was very quick and simple. Be ready for how heavy the old exhaust is and best to have someone help you with dropping it down and out. New exhaust has a quiet idle, but really gets throaty on hard acceleration. Fitment was spot on for my install of this cat-back from NISMO. With the proper tools, the removal of the stock exhaust and install of this exhaust took a little less than an hour. This exhaust is significantly lighter than the stock piece and sounds great. Not obnoxiously loud but loud enough to know it is there. Very satisfied with this purchase. I messaged Z1 to see if this was in-stock prior to ordering and they were prompt as always to reply, letting me know that they were in-stock. Once ordered, I had this at my house (Upstate SC) within a couple of days. Excellent service.
