OEM Knock Sensor found on the 1999-2004 Nissan Frontier 2000-2004 Nissan Xterra models equipped with the VG33E.

This sensor acts as the ECU's "ears" and listens for detonation, also call spark knock or pre-ignition. When this is detected, the ECU pulls timing and adds fuel to prevent further detonation, preventing imminent damage. When the knock sensor fails symptoms often include CEL (Check Engine Light) Illumination, loss of power, etc.
