OEM Detonation (Knock) Sensor found on the 2011-2015 Nissan Xterra & 2011 Infiniti QX56/QX80.
The Knock Sensor detects if there are any unusual pulsations caused by the engine detonation. It is important to always have a properly working knock sensor so there are no chances of damaging the internals of the engine from engine knock. There are two knock sensor on the VQ40DE & VK56VD powertrain.
