OEM Nissan Xterra & Frontier Parking Brake Release Cable Assembly. 

This cable connects the handle for the parking brake to the pedal mechanism so that the parking brake disengages correctly. Hardware for mounting this assembly not included. 

Should the parking brake release cable be broken and stuck engaged, driving the vehicle will cause damage to the braking system. Routinely checking the parking brake release cable can help avoid a broken cable.
