This hard line transfers power steering fluid to and from the power steering pump and the steering rack. If this hardline breaks, it will cause leaks, which may cause the power steering to fail. A failing power steering rack may present symptoms of a tight-feeling steering wheel or a grinding noise when attempting to turn the steering wheel. To avoid these issues due to a broken or otherwise non-functioning hard line, replace them with direct-fit OE Nissan lines.
