OEM Nissan Xterra & Frontier Upper Radiator Hose equipped with the VG33E & VG33ER powertrain.
The radiator hose transfers coolant from an engine's water pump to the radiator. This hose connects to the top of the radiator. If the radiator hose is in good condition it should feel firm, but not hard. A radiator hose in poor condition feels very hard, spongy, or soft. A soft hose or a hose with a soft spot should be replaced. Radiator hoses are replaced every 60,000 miles or so, but stop and go traffic can wear the hose quicker.
