This Assembly is an essential part of your vehicle's steering system which helps manage force from the steering wheel to the steering rack when turning. 

Over time, you may notice excessive vibrations or play in the wheel which can make turning and steering difficult. Eventually, this component can wear down and cause your steering system to lock up while the wheel is turned leading to a loss of control, or even an accident.
