The Z1 Aluminum Undershroud for the 2023+ Nissan Z was developed to replace your stock plastic undershroud with a rigid aluminum panel, increasing front fascia rigidity, improving airflow, and making oil changes easier!
The stock undershroud on your new Z was designed primarily to protect sensitive underbody components from weather and small road media, unfortunately, these plastic panels are not very strong and are susceptible to damage. The Z1 aluminum undershroud provides far more protection than stock by providing more rigidity and durability than soft plastic undershrouds. This is even more important in the newest generation Z, where Nissan elected to use a plastic oil pan.
To accommodate the factory oil cooler, the center of the front panel has a large raised air duct. This also provides additional airflow to the engine, helping manage the heat produced by your Z's twin turbo's. To keep large media (leaves, trash, etc) out of the engine bay, a honeycomb grille is attached to the front of the duct.
Removable Service Panel
In order to service your Z, the entire undershroud must be removed to access the oil filter and oil drain plug. The Z1 Undershroud was designed to make service much simpler with the addition of a large removable service panel. When the time comes to change your oil, simply raise your car, remove two bolts from the service panel, and the entire panel swings out of the way!
The removable service panel features large vented louvers, helping improve airflow on both sides of the panel and evacuating heat.
