Increase your 350Z or G35's performance with the Z1 Plenum Spacer!

This angled aluminum plenum spacer for your 350Z - G35 VQ35DE is specially designed to increase airflow to your engine while allowing you to keep the factory strut tower brace. Raising the plenum provides increased air flow to the front cylinders. The direct result is noticeable gains in mid range torque and in top end power. This plenum spacer is the best horsepower upgrade for the money, and combined with other supporting mods and tune can net you a good deal of extra horsepower. This plenum spacer is a tapered design and raises the plenum 5/16''-1/2''.

Ditch the washers and add Z1's Strut Tower Spacer! This spacer is installed between the strut tower bar and the chassis, elevating the strut tower bar without the need for stacked washers or generic hardware.

What size is this spacer?

It is an angled spacer. 7/16th to 3/8th.

Wouldn't you need 2 oem plenum gaskets?? One for under the spacer and one for above it?

We include one gasket specifically for the top of the spacer. We reuse the the lower metal gasket. If you wanted to add a fresh lower gasket we have them available here: (Link)

I bought this set a while back and now I cant seem to find the rubber pieces. I see you have the gasket priced at $28.00 which i will likely need but I also need the (6) M6 Washers w/ Bonded Seal. Are these sold separately? Are you guys able to source them?

The installation was trouble free with the exception of bolt "15. When it was time to torque it, it wouldn't take the threads. I ended up rethreading the hole (die & drill). I read through Reddit where several other people have had the same problem with " 9. Perhaps, instead of reusing some of the same hardware, all new hardware should be included with the kit. All installation instructions were followed precisely to include proper torquing to the correct inch/pounds in order to prevent vacuum leaks...

Overall quality no doubt it’s very good 10/10 paired it with the z1 M spec street version intake noticed some better response. The only reason I’m giving the plenum spacer a 4/5 stars is because the install was kinda a pain. The instructions weren’t the best but other than that a very affordable and good mod for any Z/G.

Created an issues with the cross brace. And if you have the slightest give in the motor mounts you will notice. Still a great bolt on to breathe better. It's like Afrin for a stuffy nose. Lol

Z1 Plenum spacer was exactly as described, packaged well, and easy to follow online instructions. Removed top plenum completely so I could clean up and paint prior to installing spacer. While I didn't purchase in expectation of performance gains you can feel better midrange throttle response. Overall very pleased with the whole package.

Nice quality. But should really add longer studs for the nuts that tighten on the sides. As well as some sort of bushing between the top and bottom of the plenum since the spacer creates space. When i was tightening the top 6 bolts, i heard a lot of creaking from the plenum itself.

Absolutely felt a difference in preformance after installing and the spacer is still holding up great after years of use.Install was simple but be aware that the strut bar wil have to be shimed with washers and adjusted as to not hit the engine or hood.Overall a must have for a VQ35DE.

Probably the best 2 hours you'll spend on this car, if you're used to a g35s power you will definitely feel a difference. For me personally 1st to 2nd pulls evenly to redline when previously power would bog down around the 3k rpms then even out. Then on top of evening out the power delivery, it also adds some noticeable hp overall whether it's highway speeds or just cruisin. All this yappin to say if you've been driving your g or z for a bit and you want to add some fun to your daily drive COP THAT SPACER

The plenum has made a significant increase in tq along with adding a cold air intake to it. The car gets up to speed quickly and holds its own with newer model g and q models. I raced a q50 and surprisingly it was able to surpass and stay in front. (Probably driver issue but still a win is a win) and I would like to continue buying stuff from z1 because they have never let me down lol

Quick easy upgrade highly recommend getting the rubber washers for the center bolts also really cheap right here on Z1. Insures that u have a good seal and don't have to fight with vacuum leaks.

Very solid. Does what it’s supposed to. Difficult part is adjusting the strut bar with the washers on to not tap the hood nor the plenum. Should include some sort of measurement of that gap between plenum and strut bar.

Honestly i was a bit weird to install, i had to reuse some of the factory bolts which was tricky to play with. but you can notice a difference in the power. it’s very torquey now. It accelerates much faster; all though if you get a tune it’ll do a whole lot more of a difference than without it.

Where do I even begin, this plenum spacer REALLY opens up the Vq35de engine. Owning my g35 for 4 years I can’t believe I didn’t have this installed all this time, the engine Loves this mod, almost like before it was struggling and now I really can tell the difference. Drove the car pretty easy for about 100 miles to really let the gaskets take seat! Afterwards I opened it up on the highway and could easily feel the difference in throttle response! This spacer really wakes that sleepy G35. I'm using the spacer, Z tube, JWT pop charger with DC headers and Kinetex High flow cats! Great combo for any VQ35DE

There are cheaper ones made of plastic for $100. Bought this one for the durability of aluminum. Only gave it 4 starts due to price of over $200 on special and no installation instructions. Installation was not difficult was a pain to hold washers under the strut tower brace of my 05 Z.

It’s a good spacer, I’m not sure I noticed a power increase necessarily (because I did test pipes and a tune around the same time). Its nice quality felt solid, my tuner told me it was a good idea along with stock intake (my 03 made 270 whp) but I’m only giving 4 stars because the washers provided are not good enough to push the strut bar up, I wish it came with actual spacers and not washers.

Part is Very good quality. It did not however come with instructions in the box and you have to re-use some of your factory bolts. The bolts on the back(throttle body side. That you re-use seem short so I recommend you pick up some a little longer from a hardware store before you strip out your lower intake plenum.

Super swift delivery to Australia and well packaged. The installation instructions that can be downloaded from Z1 make the process very simple. I wasn't sure which bolts should have the small washers and these can cause some bolts to be too short. I took the opportunity to replace the spark plugs (an onerous task) so I am not sure that the perceived pep is due to those or the spacer. It doesn't matter since I wanted to perform the spacer mod and the Z1 spacer is good quality. My bum dyno feels that the car is peppier at around 4,000 rpm. This might be the placebo effect but again it doesn't matter. Spend the money on the one you love! :)

Everyone knows the first modification someone should do to their Z or G is a plenum spacer. I made the mistake of ordering one off ebay by Blox, it was about half as much as this one but broke within a week or so. Z1 includes the additional plenum gasket as well (I don't think any other companies do). You can IMMEDIATELY feel the difference once the spacer is installed. Strong to decent gains throughout the entire RPM range. Get this with other intake/exhaust modifications to really bring the car to life. Great product as always from Z1.

Did this in 1 afternoon, comes with everything you need, sounds better and opens up midrange power. You’ll need to mess with the strut bar because if not, the plenum will touch it when revving so you’ll need to adjust it. I was able to even reuse the plastic engine cover after messing with the strut bar for a couple miniutes.

Wasn't sure whether this was worth it but when I found out it works even better for revups I felt like I had to get it and I don't regret it. Quick solo installation and I am feeling more responsive throttle but that's including other mods as well.

I upgraded to this from a plastic blox spacer and what a difference in quality and fitment The only thing i wish is that it came with all new hardware for the plenum instead of re-using sone of the oem bolts. But no big deal!

I bought this 1/2" spacer for a 2006 Nissan 350z, and after about an hour, it was installed. Upon starting my Z, it sounded more throatier, and when I took off, I immediately felt a difference in the acceleration, especially in the mid range. I am very well pleased with this product, and the instructions were very on point. Don't forget, buy some copper permatex, and put a good seal on top of the existing gasket before placing the spacer in. After placing two washers on each strut bolt, my strut bar went over my engine without touching my hood. This is the first of many upgrades.

Great quality spacer. Backed up with the Dino benchmark (see the Banana Build vid). I also paired this with cold air in-take and Motordyne’s ISO Thermal Kit… detailed Instructions easy to follow. Most of the time was spent cleaning the lower and upper plenum prior to reassembly.

The spacer is very well designed and manufactured. A few suggestions though: 1) Add to the instruction sheet that when installing the spacer, be sure to check that the oil filler cap collar is not stuck between the spacer and the intake - seems to be a common issue, and I ran into the same thing. 2) Provide screws for all the holes so they all match, or source screws that will appear like the oem screws for consistency. But otherwise, a fantastic product!

Great product, came with everything I needed and even plenty of spares. Installing this gave the mid to high end rpm a Much lower tone at WOT. The Z Tube gave the low end the same effect but struggled to flow air without the spacer. Overall very satisfied and worth every penny

This thing is mint. It’s 9/10 doctors approved the 10th doc has a genny (he’s just salty because the other 9 who drive VQ cars always beats him after they added the spacer) it even helps on gas mileage. NOTE : I am not liable if ur VQ car doesn’t beat a genny after the plenum spacer. :)

Easy install and adds a noticeable punch around 3k rpm. Only issue I had was I had to use 2 of the longer spare bolts that came with the kit instead of using the stock bolts(per insructions) as they were too short and didnt hold the upper plenum down.

did not really notice a acceleration improvement, But averaged 24 MPG on a road trip. Have a 2004 FX35AWD, factory specs says 20MPG. AT 4 MPG pay for itself real soon.

Bought and installed the intake spacer on my First Gen FX35,driving it normal you can’t tell much off a difference but after 3000 rpm she definitively pulls much harder then before! My intake air temps are about 5-10 degrees cooler also.Great products at a great price.Awesome team. Thanks Z1!

Spacer kit came with its proper tools and made installment simple following the directions it came with. The only thing is my OEM strut bar did not fit well with the few washers it gave me. Be prepared to have M10 30mm longer bolts and Thicker washers just in case, because the Strut bar is considered a separate fix. Other than that, the spacer works great and gainned lot more mid-torque. 04 350z

This is one of the most common modifications for the VQ35DE motor. I installed it on my 350z and I noticed a deeper engine sound at higher rpms especially at full throttle. I can also tell there is an increase in acceleration response above 3000 rpm. This was a simple install to do except adjusting the strut bar with the washers. Overall, I'm pleased with the results.

If you are reading all these reviews, it probably means you are on the fence about clicking the add to cart button... just go ahead and click it! I was also on the fence about ordering this for a very long time. I finally bit the bullet and ordered it... I should have done this YEARS ago. This is the best $170 dollars I have ever spent on my Z! You know how there's those mods you do where you think you maybe can feel a difference but you aren't sure? Well this isn't one... I instantly knew this made a huge difference in mid and top end HP and torque. It definitely feels much stronger. I'm not going to say it's some crazy power gain, but it is definitely noticeable. Just make sure you do the ECU reset. Also when installing be sure you don't pinch the rubber seal around the oil cap between the plenum and spacer, or you will have issues! This is a very simple and extremely satisfying mod to do for a small amount of cash. Once again, a other great product from Z1 motorsports that has put a big smile on my face!

So here's my take on this plenum spacers. You can definitely feel and hear the difference. Much more responsive. Expect to be surprised when you punch it after installation. And your car will growl after as well. I was really pleased. Except in the instructions it says to use some of your old bolt for hole #8 #9 #14 and #15. Which did not reach at all way too short. That resulted in a horrible vacuum leak and horrible idle problems. So I had to improvise. Order a plenum spacer fastener kit, same issue and ended up usining some of the longer bolts that came with this kit te replace those and problem fixed. And I see the TRUE potential and I love it. I suggest you get a buddy to help its hard hold up the plenum and align the spacer and 2 gaskets correctly.

Unlike the fitment problem I had with the bolt on wheel spacers, the plenum spacer install went smoothly and the fitment was perfect. Took about an hour to remove and reinstall, and the another half hour to install the pop charger. That went smooth as well, everything fit according to plan.

The Z1 plenum spacer is a great addition to any Z. Very easy install and can be completed with basic hand tools (sockets, and ratchet ect.). My tip would be to remember to adjust the legnth of the stock strut tower brace prior to re-installation. Even with using the supplied spacers the bar needs slight adjustment for engine clearence. End result is a slightly deeper more agressive exhaust note. My 05' touring AT felt quicker when accelerating past 3k rpm's. Great product, easy install, would definitly buy again!

The Z1 plenum spacer is a great addition for anyone looking to do a quick simple modification to thier Z. Installation was easy and straight forward, able to complete with basic hand tools (ratchet and sockets ect). Most difficult part is re-installing the stock strut tower brace. My tip would be to remember to adjust the legnth of the strut bar prior to re-installing, you\'ll need to adjust for engine clearence even with addition of the supplied spacers. The end result is a stealthy mod that sounds slightly more deep and agressive. Used on my 05\' touring auto - feels more responsive and will definitly notice quicker acceleration past 3k rpm\'s. Great product and a great price! Would definitly buy again.
