Z1 Motorsports Aluminum shift knobs are a perfect accent to your car. Ergonomically designed to be comfortable without making any compromises in the style department. CNC machined from aircraft grade 6061 aluminum then black hard anodized or buffed to a high polish finish. Precision machined threads mean no more plastic inserts to strip out or get loose over time. These knobs are the perfect finishing touch to the interior of your Z or G. M10 X1.25 fitment also fit a variety of Nissan's, Infiniti's, and other makes!
Z1 now offers the Competition and Baller shift knobs in a wrinkle black powdercoat in the options below. This powdercoat ensures better grip with bare hands OR gloves.

Feels good. Not too heavy for the longer shifter on the Xterra. Coating has held up over the first year with no damage. The only area for improvement is for the spacer/finishing piece. I would like the knob to set onto the spacer in the center. No matter how I hold it while tightening the knob down, the spacer is always off to one side slightly. The knob should be notched to locate onto the spacer in the center. The spacer diameter is larger than the top of the boot so it overhangs the boot a bit which may be a con to some.

Love the shift knob. Fits perfect. Ordered the protective ring with it as well. Super easy install and fits my Xterra nicely. In the future I would love to see one that's got more weight and maybe moves the shift knob higher. This one does sit lower than oem. Maybe like a frontier Xterra specific extension?

I picked up the black baller knob with a type 3 black finisher and a new shift boot. The combo looks amazing in my 08 350z! Very nice quality. The ball shifter knob falls to hand nicely; it is smaller and sits quite a bit lower than the stock 350z knob. Seems to be a great weight that adds a nice shortthrow-like preciseness. I also like the fact that there is no shift gate pattern on the top, so no fuss with getting the numbers straight. Just thread it on and go; you know where the gears are anyway…
This shift knob/finisher combo just hits all the right notes for me as far as looks and functionality go. I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking to change the look and feel of of your Z.

I purchased the Baller in polished aluminum. It has a good weight to it and fit right on to my stock OEM shifter for my 1991 300ZX NA 2+0.

Absolutely no complaints. Feels good in the hand, finish is exactly as advertised, weight is good without being too heavy. Get a Z1 finisher, as the knob looks a little misplaced without one. Note that the knob is a little shorter than you might anticipate - this means you’ll have to shove a bit more & you’ll have a shorter throw, but it’s pretty close to OE in terms of throw. If you’re looking for an OE-like shifter with a little more meat to it, I highly recommend.

I went with the Classic and type 3 finisher - both black. The finish quality of each part is outstanding! It really helps kick the interior up a level from OEM. Also please note that I received my order in _48 hrs.
(Now I need to get a quality shift boot to compliment this.)
