Z1 engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.
The Z1 Performance Tuning Package provides the best tuning solution for your Infiniti Q50 or Q60 3.0t outside of our in-house services. The Level 1 Tune (base) requires no dyno tuning and is expertly pre-calibrated to suit your vehicle. Our Level 2 Tune (custom) will allow your car to unlock maximum power from your modifications to further optimize the powerband of the VR30. Finaly our Level 2+ option is a custom tune offering for all modifications aside from larger turbos for the VR30.
Included with the purchase of the Level 1, Level 2, or Level 2+ Tune is an EcuTek OBDII bluetooth performance analyzer and adapter that is used to install the provided ROM file onto your stock ECU through EcuTek's ECU Connect App. EcuTek's bluetooth dongle provides numerous other features such as logging and diagnostic capability. *Please make sure your phone is compatible with the EcuTek connect app before ordering. When setting up your account through EcuTek Connect, please be sure to use the SAME EMAIL that you use for your Z1 account. Failure to do this may result in extended processing time.
Average performance gains seen on a non-Sport Q50 are 100hp and over 100lb-ft. On a Redsport Q50 average performance gains are 50hp and over 75lb-ft. Bear in mind, not all cars are equal so performance gains may vary depending on fuel quality and atmospheric conditions. Z1 recommends 5w-30 or 5w-40 motor oil in all tuned VR30's.

If your car has aftermarket catalytic converters (HFC's), your car requires a Level 2 Tune. Please read the information below prior to ordering.

Z1 Level 2 tuning starts with the Level 1 tune and adds custom changes to suit your level of hardware modifications. Included with Level 2 tuning you’ll also have access to our Z1 custom map package. This option would include cars with a full turbo-back exhaust system with aftermarket catalytic converters or oversized intakes. To ensure these changes are best suited to your car, an iterative process is used. Z1 will upload your first Level 2 tune via the direct tune delivery system based on the modification list you’ve disclosed. You will load that tune and then perform a data log on the vehicle per the instructions emailed to you after purchase. Based on that data log, the tuner will adjust the tune to optimize your vehicle’s performance for the modifications. The Level 2+ Tune option is for vehicles with modifications outside the realm of Level 1 or Level 2 tuning. This is for vehicles equipped with aftermarket fuel systems such as low-pressure fuel pump, injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, or full FlexFuel kits.
These customers will not receive an initial base file via the direct tune delivery system due to the complexity of modifications. The base file will be built off the modifications on the car once the vehicle information form has been filled out.
