Behind the factory catalytic converters, heavy-duty cast stainless steel flanges are welded to mandrel-bent 3'' stainless steel piping, feeding a cast 304 stainless steel merge collector. The merge collector provides consistent quality and precise fitment when compared to fabricated merge collectors. The smooth transition between the primary pipes reduces disruption in exhaust flow, providing exhaust gasses with a smooth transition, increasing exhaust gas flow, and improving exhaust scavenging.
After the collector, you'll find the heart of the exhaust system: the large 15'' muffler. Our muffler is designed to best utilize the available space and offer the best fitment under your truck. This high-flow muffler features an inner layer of stainless-steel packing and an outer layer of fiberglass held in place by a perforated stainless-steel core. Rather than using baffle plates and resonance chambers which negatively affect power, our mufflers use a full-length perforated tube, allowing exhaust gasses to flow through the muffler un-obstructed. As gasses pass through the muffler, the exhaust sound is dampened through the dual-layer packing, reducing exhaust volume while maintaining an appropriate exhaust tone. This construction method is proven tough, as it is the same muffler our motorsports team uses on race vehicles. Behind the muffler, 3'' piping runs over the rear axle and to the back of the vehicle. An optional exhaust tip can be purchased in the product options for better street appeal.
