Nissan Frontier Transmission Skid Plate for 2005+ models covers your truck's transmission, protecting it from impacts or damage when driving off-road.
This custom-formed laser-cut panel is manufactured from 5mm thick 5052 aluminum, providing an excellent strength-to-weight ratio when compared to heavy steel panels. To improve off-road performance, Z1's Skid Plate was raised, providing more ground clearance than the factory plastic panel it replaces. Additionally, this panel is made from a single solid sheet of aluminum absent of holes or joints. This reinforces its durability and prevents sticks, rocks, and other debris from passing through gaps in the panel and damaging transmission cooler lines, fuel lines, or wiring. To keep installation simple, our engineers developed this panel to be a direct replacement for the original, using all factory mounting locations.
This skid plate is essential for off-road use! From the factory, at best your truck comes with no method of protection other than a thin metal panel, which does little to protect against damage from large media. Impact damage can be catastrophic if the transmission pan is punctured, rendering permanent damage.
