This kit includes all of the basic components needed to service the rear timing cover oil gallery gaskets on your 4.0L VQ40DE equipped Nissan Xterra. 

The oil galley gaskets on Nissan's 4.0L VQ40DE engine are installed underneath the oil gallery plates on the rear timing cover. When this gasket fails and begins to seep, oil pressure will drop resulting in oil starvation and potential catastrophic engine failure. If you're seeing low oil pressure symptoms, such as low readings, check engine light with P0011 or P0021 codes, or excessive VTC and valvetrain rattle we recommend you do not run the engine until you have this checked, to minimize the risk of engine damage.

In this kit, we've opted to include allen head hardware to help ensure torque across the oil gallery cover plates is even.

If you're servicing the timing components on your VQ40, replacing the oil gallery gaskets as a preventative measure is extremely important!
