Nissan Xterra Fuel Tank Skid Plate for 2005-2015 models covers your truck's gas tank, protecting it from impacts and puncture damage when driving off-road.
This custom-formed laser-cut panel is manufactured from 5mm thick 5052 aluminum, providing an excellent strength-to-weight ratio when compared to heavy steel panels. To improve off-road performance, this skid plate was raised to its highest position, providing the most amount of ground clearance. Additionally, this panel is made from a single solid sheet of aluminum absent of holes or joints. This reinforces its durability and prevents sticks, rocks, and other debris from passing through gaps in the panel and puncturing the fuel tank. To keep installation simple, our engineers developed this panel to be a direct replacement for the original, using all factory mounting locations.
This skid plate is essential for off-road use! From the factory, at best your truck comes with no method of protection other than a thin metal panel, and that's only found on Pro4X models. This does little to protect against damage from large media. Impact damage can be catastrophic if the fuel tank pan is punctured, creating a great risk of a fire.
