4 ply high quality reinforced silicone hose 6.5mm (1/4") ID. Perfect for upgrading turbo wastegate actuators from boost controllers and pressure reference sources on your forced induction car. Unlike conventional rubber lines, these thick reinforced silicone hoses can handle the heat that wastegate lines may be subjected to. A hole in a wastegate line can be a serious problem resulting in out of control boost, turbo, and / or catastrophic engine damage. DO NOT take chances with a cheap rubber hose. Z1 Motorsports recommends replacing all the stock rubber lines that supply pressurized air or coolant any time turbos are being changed, or the engine is out of the car. Z1 offers these straight sections of replacement lines made from reinforced silicone in 1' increments. Available up to a 6' continuous length. This hose can be used in any vacuum or coolant line application requiring a 6.5mm (1/4") ID hose. This silicone hose is NOT to be used with fuel.
