The Camshaft Assembly is responsible for operating the intake and exhaust valves. If this Assembly fails, it could lead to metal debris in the engine oil, misfires and a generally rough-running engine. It is recommended to replace this assembly once there are visible signs of damage, loud ticking noises or an illuminated check engine light (CEL).
