If you are pushing your Xterra beyond basic daily driving duty, your cooling system needs to keep up. This Performance Aluminum Radiator is built to deliver serious thermal capacity and long-term durability. The improved construction methods resolve the common failure points (SMOD) found in the factory unit while maximizing cooling efficiency within the constraints of the stock core support.
At the heart of this radiator is a massive 42mm core, the thickest core that will properly fit in the factory core support. The increased core thickness provides substantially greater coolant volume and surface area, allowing for improved heat dissipation under heavy loads, high ambient temperatures, towing, off-road use, or forced induction applications.
Unlike the factory radiator, which uses crimped plastic end tanks that are prone to cracking and gasket failure over time, this unit features fully welded aluminum end tanks. By eliminating plastic and crimp joints, you remove one of the most common failure points in OE radiators and gain a cooling system component designed for long-term reliability. Serviceability is also improved with a durable metal drain plug in place of the fragile plastic unit. No more worrying about stripped threads or broken drain cocks during routine maintenance.
Designed as a direct-fit upgrade, this radiator is compatible with OEM fans and the factory condenser, and it supports both manual and automatic transmission models.
