Nissan Xterra Shock Skids are a must-have accessory for the serious off-roader, protecting your low-hanging fruit from impact damage that seriously hurts.
The position of the rear lower shock mount makes them very susceptible to damage from impacts with hard surfaces and rocks. Being made from thin plate steel, these factory mount tabs are very weak and surprisingly easy to bend. Z1 Shock Skids are positioned around the lower shock mount tabs, protecting them from hard impacts and making it easier to slide your truck across rough surfaces without causing damage. Ours is the most rigid design on the market, manufactured from 5mm thick steel with all impact surfaces reinforced, offering a high level of protection. Now available with Z1's Bolt Bunker Upgrade, offering additional protection for shock hardware.
We opted to manufacture these from mild steel, as it allows the end user to weld the skids to the axle tube and use them to replace, reinforce, or relocate the shock to an auxiliary location if desired. Just like with our skid plates, a trail-ready heavy-duty powder coat is standard.
