Z1's Nissan Xterra Speaker Upgrade Package takes the guesswork out of audio enhancement, providing everything needed to simply upgrade the door speakers in your '05 - '15 Xterra.
This isn’t just a set of loose speakers — each AudioControl PNW driver comes pre-mounted in a custom Z1 adapter housing, making installation as close to plug-and-play as it gets. The assemblies bolt directly into place, with no modification required to clear the larger magnets. Compatible with both Base and Fender audio systems, this package makes upgrading your sound straightforward and stress-free.
Choose Your Rear Setup: Available with either coaxial (standard) or component speakers for the rear doors, so you can match your upgrade to your preferences.
- Coaxial Speakers use tweeters mounted in the center of the primary driver inside the door panel. This is the standard speaker type for the Nissan Xterra when not equipped with the factory Rockford Fosgate audio package and requires no modifications to the door panel to install.
- Component Speakers move the tweeters off of the primary driver and into the door card. This moves higher frequency sounds closer to ear level and produces superior quality audio compared to coaxial speakers. If your Xterra has the Rockford Fosgate audio package, you already have component rear speakers, so purchasing this option is highly recommended. If you don't already have tweeters in your rear doors, component speakers require you to cut a hole in the door panel and are visible once installed. Small trimming is necessary for those who already have rear door tweeters.

The factory head unit in base-audio trucks applies EQ shaping to the audio signal, including a high-frequency boost around 6–7 kHz. While unlikely to bother most listeners, it can be softened using the built-in treble adjustment, a phone EQ or streaming app, or an external DSP. Rockford Fosgate vehicles or those with an aftermarket head unit are not affected.
