This is the OEM Tailgate Striker for your 2005-2015 Nissan Xterra.
Over time, this Striker tends to become worn or bent from repeated use and will cause the door not to secure or seal.
The Striker is screwed into the rear hatch with Striker Screws and is used to latch the rear door shut. Replacing this simple but important part with a genuine Nissan replacement will help to ensure optimal fitment, and that your rear door is securely shut each time it's put to use.
