After the dealer wanting to charge me a crazy amount, and then going back a couple weeks later and then wanting to charge me even more the next time, like 50 bucks (!), and then Amazon sending me the wrong one with a spring loaded pressurized cap that fruitlessly I tried anyways, and then it ended up leaking everywhere, I bought this one that even with the shipping, was incredibly priced and worked out perfectly. I took a toothbrush and cleaned everything and all the residue that was around the old radiator cap and spout first, then moistened the rubber on the new radiator cap before placing this one on the spout. I was worried I had a leak somewhere, but I think it was the radiator cap because after days of checking it, I no longer smell that telltale sign of radiator fluid. I could even see some dried radiator fluid residue around the sonic seam and cap of my overflow tank, but that might’ve been caused by the actual bad radiator cap. After cleaning all that up as well with the toothbrush and making sure everything was clean, I don’t smell anything anymore. The radiator fluid that I bought from Z-1 as well is probably going to sit around for a long time, but it’s good to have as a backup. Everything in my cooling system is only about a year old anyways. Thank you very much Z-1.
